Canned Food Drive/ Recolección de comida

What?  Canned Food Drive in benefit of Community Ministry.

Who?  Knapp Elementary Community.

When? October 15 to October 31, 2018

Dear parents,

Community Ministry needs our help. This organization provides emergency food, children’s clothing and utility assistance to low income residents of southwest Denver since 1968.

They are asking our school to help them by conducting a food drive during this school year to fill their empty shelves. On the back of this note is a list of some of the food items that they desperately need.

If you would like to contribute with some of those items, please feel free to send it with your child or give it to your student’s teacher. THE CLASS COLLECTING MORE WILL WIN A PIZZA PARTY AND EXTRA RECESS.

Estimados padres de familia,

Community Ministry necesita nuestra ayuda. Desde 1968, esta organización provee comida de emergencia, ropa para niños y ayuda con los pagos de recibos de luz y agua a familias de escasos recursos en el area sur-oeste de Denver.

Ellos están pidiendo ayuda a la escuela Knapp para organizar una recolección de comida enlatada o empaquetada para llenar sus alacenas vacias. Al reverso de esta nota esta la lista de algunas cosas que necesitan desesperadamente.

Si usted desea contribuir a esta causa sientase libre de enviar lo que pueda directamente a los profesores de sus hijos. LA CLASE QUE RECAUDE MAS COMIDA GANARA UNA FIESTA DE PIZZA Y UN RECREO EXTRA.
