Jenny Palma is Mexican and bilingual in English and Spanish. She is a proud DPS alumni who graduated from JFK high school in 2009. She is 31 years old. She was born in Dallas, Texas but moved to Denver right before turning three years old and has lived here since. Jenny’s favorite pastime is watching horror movies and shows. She has been with DPS since 2018 in mostly paraprofessional roles except for the 2019-2020 school year that she worked with Discovery Link supporting with remote learning (usually before/after school programming). She worked last year at Valverde as a General Assignment paraprofessional for 1st-5th grade and as a SPED one-on-one para, at the tail end of the year. This is her first year at Knapp, continuing her work as a one-on-one para while also assisting in 3rd grade. Jenny is currently in school through Grand Canyon University (online) studying to get a Bachelor's degree in Elementary education with a specialty in ESL. She one day hopes to become a teacher with DPS and continue to grow with the district. Jenny’s career highlights have mostly been working with more difficult or challenging students, building relationships with them and ultimately seeing them thrive. Jenny’s favorite thing about working with DPS has been the flexibility, working with a wide range of ages and personalities as well as experiencing several different branches of work within DPS. 😁
